I received this update from Jane Ventura about the forthcoming Dinner and Dance hosted by The Native Sons of Lapog and she has asked me to post it on this site so I guess all Lapoguenios are invited.
The event will be held
on Saturday, October 28, 2006
at 7 PM
at the Embassy Suites Hotel Ballroom
Registration is
$50 (adult) prepaid
$55 (adult) at the door
$20 (children) prepaid
$25 (children) at the door
Contact the RSVP committee if you plan to attend. The only member of the RSVP committee on the Lapoguenio email database is Ms. Rosalinda Viloria, so hers is the only contact information I can provide. If you’re interested and don’t know how else to contact the group, please let me know and I’ll get you connected to Ms. Rosalinda Viloria.

The NSL 82nd Town Fiesta
I felt the greatest enjoyment of our townmates during the dinner and dance event at the Embassy Suite Hotel, South San Francisco on Saturday, October 28, 2006.
Let me relate what I saw that evening so that we can grasp what that evening was really all about:
1. Tables
The centerpiece of each table were fully arranged bouquets of flower with varieties of “pang pinakbet,” mixed vegetables as decorations around those beautiful flower vases.
2. Prayer Service
As always, we thanked God for the food we consumed that evening from a Sister. Her prayer presentation added great surprise and so eloquently said; everyone joined in by vowing their heads and thanked God for many blessings and praised Him with joy and happiness.
3. Dance Floor
The townmates enjoyed dancing so much that our dance floor would not allow us to move or swing long steps. It was packed! And I was glad everyone enjoyed the evening.
4. Presentation of Filipiniana/Barong Tagalog Costumes
This march presentation turned out to be really entertaining. The participants enjoyed showing and modeling their own outfit with so much pride marching around the circle of the dance floor. It was spectacular!
Winners of the Evening were:
Filipiniana Costume: Heidi Agbayani
Barong Tagalog Costume: Carlito Aquino
5. EMCEE
He made it fun; he made it great; he made it so perfect; and he absolutely, positively, can emcee, dance, and sing! What a performer!
Excellent work and Well Done Officers! Salute!
