Dear Townmates and Friends,
On behalf of the Lapoguenians of Southern California, I would like to invite you to another fun-filled evening:
Barangay Fiesta - Lapog Style
Saturday, August 11, 2007, 6:00
Vivo Dance Sport Center
17160 Colima Road, Hacienda Hts., CA 91745
Our “Barangay Fiesta” will include dancing and a sumptuous buffet dinner, typical of Lapog Fiesta, and courtesy of our “kakailian” and friends. Let us get together in a spirit of generosity and cooperation for our various projects in Lapog - the LSC Medicine for the Disadvantaged Lapoguenians, the Latent TB Project for the Disadvantaged Children and the Rheumatic Heart Project for the Disadvantaged Lapoguenians. Since April 2004, hundreds of our kakailian have availed of free medication from our organization. Approximately 60 children, who were at risk of developing active TB have completed the 6-month prophylactic treatment. Also, the Lapog Rural Health Unit, which handles our projects, has started providing assistance to children and adults with rheumatic heart problems. These have been made possible with your continuous commitment and generosity. Your tremendous support to the 2006 Grand Reunion has kept us moving forward. You are just amazing and we thank you for all that you are doing for our town. We are requesting a donation of $25 for each participant. Attire is informal, however, Pilipino or Ilocano costumes would definitely add color and glamour to the affair.
Sincerely,
Mr. Rudy Pira
